Strategy games come in many different forms and involve different things. It is good to change the setup of strategy games because it will make peope want to play the game more. If these strategy games aren’t unique, people will not want to play them. Some might ask you to think about numbers or ways to build or solve something. Some might even ask you to use sugar.

Sugar, Sugar is a game featired on In ths game spilly sugar is a bad thing, and putting the sugar in the cup is a goodthings. To do this. draw lines to guide the sugars to their happy sugar cup place. The game starts you off at level 1 and you progress from there. As the level increases so does the difficulty of each level. The first level shows a cup sitting on the edge of a ledge and the cup says 100. To the left of the cup you are given instructions that tell you to draw with your mouse to get enough sugar in the cup. Underneath the cup are more words that say if you get stuck you can hit the reset button. At the top of the screen, in big bold letters, reads sugar, sugar. When the level begins, sugar begins falling from the “sugar, sugar” words. To beat this level you simply draw a line from the words where the sugar is falling to the cup. Once the sugar lands in the cup the number on the cup decreases. When the cup reads 0, you have completed the level.

All the levels follow this routine but there are some tricks and challenges along the way. Level 2 gives you two cups in which you just perform the same task as level 1. Level 3 has a couple of changes. There are 2 cups that read 100 but one cup in white and the other is red. The instructions on the side of screen tells you that white sugar goes in the white cup and red sugar goes in the red cup. This may catch you off guard at first because they is not red sugar. However the level puts two red circles that are linked together on the screen. To beat the level draw a line from the white cup to the sugar and another line from that sugar to the red dots and then to the red cup. The levels after this are on the same lines but the directions are slightly different.

This was an interesting way to set up a strategy game. It uses sugar. I believe that gamers should continue  to think about how to present games to people in a new and exciting way. They need to constantly think about what things will draw what type of people in. Will it be color, sound, or even the name of the game?

Which would you rather do? Sit down and play videogames or stand? Growing up I played videogames while sitting. It started with the Nintendo 64 and evolved into the Playstations, Xbox, and Gamecube. The only difference between these game systems is the name. Other than that they operate the same way. More recently, we see videogames being transformed. Instead of sitting on the couch with the game controller, we are suddenly being asked to stand in order to play these games that we enjoy so much.

The Wii and the Xbox Kinect are changing the way that we play games. They require you to stand and move your body around. The Wii provides a fun, active, and intuitive experience. These games give you the feeling of playing your favorite sports activities, and adventures that put a sword in your hand like never before, your own body’s movements are used to interact with the games in fun and delightful ways. The Wii Remote Plus controller is the heart of the motion gaming experience on the Wii console. It responds to motion and rotation for enhanced control as you move around, swinging, swiping, thrusting, or turning the controller. With the Wii Remote Plus, your gaming experience instantly becomes more active and immersive than you ever thought possible. Every Wii console comes packed with one Wii Remote Plus controller. To enhance the fun of the Wii, get additional Wii controllers to have more friends and family members play together.

The Wii comew with a Nunchuk which you hook up to your Wii Remote Plus. This accessory adds even more flexibility in compatible games. The Nunchuk has similar motion-sensing technology, along with two buttons and a Control Stick. This allows you to move characters around while performing more specific and complex actions with the Wii Remote Plus controller. Every Wii console comes packed with one Nunchuk, but you can buy additional Nunchuk accessories to get more players gaming together. The Nunchuk is not the only accessory available for the Wii. A range of other unique accessories provide new ways to play Wii games. some of the accessories include the Wii Wheel accessory to race with, or the Classic Controller Pro accessory if you are looking for an old school gaming experience. There are many exciting options available.

The Xbox Kinect is similar to the Wii because there is no controller, gadgets, or gizmos. It’s just you and your family getting off the couch and into the action. This controller-free gaming means full body play. Kinect responds to how you move. So if you have to kick, then kick. If you have to jump, then jump. Once you wave your hand to activate the sensor, your Kinect will be able to recognize you and access your Avatar. Then you’ll be able to jump in and out of different games. Once again anyone can play and have a blast. And with advanced parental controls and movies for the family, Kinect promises a gaming experience that’s safe, secure and fun for everyone.

I personally enjoy these new form of games and do not mind standing up to play. I don’t necessarily acknowledge the fact that I am even standing. I just know that I am up doing something fun with my family and friends. In addition my body is getting the exercise that it was deprived of for many years. I believe that more games on the lines on the Wii and Xbox Kinect should be created. They can be an asset to all that play. So which would you rather do?

Little Dude is back, and looking for more adventure in Draw 4 Play 2. The object of the game is to spray paint a path for Dude to run on. You are given four different spray paint colors, green, blue, yellow, and red, as well as an eraser to help you through the challenges of the game. You can carve out new routes with your eraser, but you must pay attention. The levels have obstacles that will wreck all your lines, and maybe crush your dude. To win, paint fast and run faster!
You can start off playing the game at the easy, medium, or hard level. With the easy level, you must capture one key. In the medium and hard levels you must capture two and three keys respectively. For your first time playing the game, I recommend starting at the easy level to get a feel for the game. Once you decide your difficulty level you begin playing the game. Level one is pretty simple. Simply spray paint a line to the top of the board to capture the key and then paint another line that will take you to the door to complete the level. The first couple of levels are simple like this. But as you complete more levels, they become harder.

For example, one level had whales that would swim across the screen and shot up water. To get to the key and finish the level you have to avoid contact with the whales as well as the water that they shoot up. In addition if you spray paint a line you must run across it before the whales come because they will erase your line. From here on out the levels are on the same lines as this one but slightly more challenging. When you complete each level you are given a thumbs up by a spray paint bottle and you are given a score as well. If you can make it to level twenty and complete it you have beat the game. If you are feeling lucky, or are up for a challenge, you can play the game over at a higher level.

Draw 4 Play 2 is a strategy game. You must strategize how to capture the keys, how to get to the end of each stage, how to avoid each obstacle, and estimate good timing. The music is upbeat and on the lines of hip hop. I do not feel that there was a direct message to this game. I believe that it is a simple game that was created for people to have some fun in their free time.
I personally enjoyed playing the game. The titled caught my attention first and then the upbeat music further peeked my interest. Once I got the hang of the game I was eager to continue until the end. It is a fun game to play during a break or during free time. It does not require a lot of thinking but it does require some. Sometimes it is nice to indulge in a game that does not have too many rules and requires a great deal of thinking and strategizing, but at the same time offers a bit of a challenge.

To explain what happened I have to return 3 years back. It’s impossible for me to forget that evening.
“Darling, I am back!”
Click the blinking circle on the door. It opens the door and shows an open cabinet.
“What’s that?”
Click on the blinking circle on the cabinet and walk further into the room.
“How did this trash get into my house?”
Click on the blinking circle on the wall and walk into another room where the phone is ringing. Click on the phone to answer.
“Hello, someone has got into my house, please, call the police!”
“Is it Mr. Vengeance’s house?”
“Yes! Do you hear me? Someone has got into my house and it seems they are still here, please, call…”
“Wonderful. I’m afraid I can’t help you.”
“Who’s that? Hello! Hello!”
Click the blinking circle to walk up the stairs. You see blood leading to a door. Click on the door.
“The door is jammed, I can’t open it.”
You pull out a gun and go to another door. You shoot two people and then see blood on the bed.
“O Lord, please…”
Click on the bed and nothing happens.
You turn around and shoot two more people before entering the bedroom. You walk to the bed.
“No, no. no… Nicole, Amy, nooooooooooooo…”

This is the opening to Mr. Vengeance. An underworld gang killed your wife and family, now your sole purpose is finding the people responsible. You are now on the tracks of Jack Fiero, one of the biggest mafia bosses, but first you must find Joe Brown. Shoot down all enemies that stand in you may. Collect ammunition and health bonuses along the way. To play the game, click on the circles on the screen to open doors, and on bonuses to collect them. Shoot enemies in the head for a quick kill, they will be shooting back at you. Your health is indicated at the bottom left of the screen, the body will become more red the more hits you take. Use health bonuses by pressing ‘space’. Use your mouse to aim and shoot your gun, and switch between weapons with number keys.
Many people like games that involve some form of violence, shooting, stabbing, and many other things, so I could understand how this game would be slightly amusing. But I do not believe that this game sends a positive message. Mr. Vengeance. The title says it all. The purpose of the game is to be vengeful of the people who did you wrong. While this is a concept that can be seen in other video games and even movies, it does not make it a positive thing. People should not get accustomed to thinking that vengeance is the answer to any problem. Even for situation that are not as extreme as someone killing your family, vengeance is still not the answer. Children began playing games at different ages and it is important that they know the difference between fiction and nonfiction. We must remember the old saying, “Two wrongs do not make a right.”

Many people that I have come into contact with believe that Sudoku is not winnable, well it is. I have solved many Sudoku puzzles over the past couple of years. It’s not that Sudoku seems unwinnable; it may just be that many people do not have the patience to find strategies to solve the puzzles. That used to be me. A couple of years ago I was determined to learn to play Sudoku. Yes, it was hard at first and very time consuming, but I eventually got the hang of it. I actually use it as a stress reliever now that I am in college. When I need to take a break from homework or studying, I pull out on of my Sudoku books and complete a puzzle. I am able to solve most puzzles in under twelve minutes. For anyone interested in Sudoku, I suggest that they do not try to solve a puzzle in one day. I suggest taking it slowly and solving bits of the puzzle over the duration of multiple days, this way they will not become overwhelmed and give up all together.

Sudoku requires no calculation or arithmetic skills. It is essentially a game of placing numbers in squares, using very simple rules of logic and deduction. It can be played by children and adults and the rules are simple to learn. The objective of the game is to fill all the blank squares in a game with the correct numbers. There are three very simple constraints to follow. In a nine by nine square Sudoku game: every row of nine numbers must include all digits one through nine in any order, every column of nine numbers must include all digits one through nine in any order, and every three by three subsection of the nine by nine square must include all digits one through nine. Similarly, smaller Sudoku puzzles, such as the four by four puzzles, must have the numerals one through four in each row, column and subsection.

Every Sudoku games begin with a number of squares already filled in, and the difficulty of each game is largely a function of how many squares are filled in. The more squares that are known, the easier it is to figure out which numbers go in the open squares. As you fill in squares correctly, options for the remaining squares are narrowed and it becomes easier to fill them in. The Sudoku games on let you check your progress as you go, to help prevent going down a wrong path.

From playing Sudoku many times I have learned a few strategies to help me solve the puzzle. First scan the rows and columns to see where a certain number might go, given the three constraints listed above. For example, the fact that a seven is required in the top right corner can be determined by first analyzing its nine square sub-regions. The only numbers missing in the region are a five and a seven. However, putting a five in the top right box would conflict with the five already in the top row and the rightmost column. The seven, on the other hand, would not conflict with any of the given numbers. Once the seven is filled in, deduction requires that only a five can go beneath it as all digits from one through nine must be represented in the region. From there, one can turn to the two remaining open boxes in the right column – these must include a two and a four as the column’s digits must represent one through nine. One of these options, placing the four beneath the one, would lead to a conflict with the four already in that horizontal row, so the only option for this box must be a two.

However, options for boxes are often not that easy to deduce. Another technique is to “pencil in” possibilities and then follow the possible solutions that emerge until a conflict is found. Often these conflicts appear after two or three numbers are penciled in, and one can return to the start and try the next option until something clicks.

So, Sudoku is indeed winnable, you just have to be willing to put the time and effort into this unique set of puzzles.

Many people know solitaire to be a computer card game. It requires you to think about what move you want to make in order to win the game. It can be seen as a boring card game, not very lively with its lack of color and sound. Perhaps thei is why, as time goes on, game makers decide to change, or rather improve, certain games to make them more appealing. Jewel Quest Solitaire is an example of this. It puts a new spin on the way we play solitaire.

In Jewel Quest Solitaire there are cards laid out at the top half of the screen and two piles of foundation cards at the bottom center of your screen. To begin the game, draw your opening card from the right side of the foundation pile with the click of your mouse. These cards will be your primary source of game play. Next you select a matching card from the layout and place it on top of your drawn card. Draw a card from the left side of your foundation pile only when you run out of matches from the layout. You are given wild cards, which can be moved from the layout to the foundation pile at any time. Play any card from the layout on top of a wild card. You can earn jewels while matching cards. Match three or more jewels in a row when your foundation card matches one from the layout. The jewel board appears at the bottom right corner of the screen.  To gain bonus points, you must earn gold spaces on the jewel board during card play. Match three or more jewels horizontally or vertically to clear the rows and expose the gold spaces. At the end of each round, the jewel board appears in full view. Swap the jewels to match three or more jewels in a row to get more points until you run out of matches. Advance to another round of card play while earning more jewels.

The goal of Jewel Quest Solitaire is to move all cards from the layout to the foundation pile. Cards that are one value higher or lower than the foundation card are playable. When there are no valid plays, flip a card from the stock and try again. Jewels are dropped onto the board based on how you play the cards. The jewel dropped will match the suit of the card that is played. Earn jewels by playing long runs of sequential cards, and another one when suits match. A swap is earned every time cards match suits. A swap allows jewels to be moved around during jewel board play.

While playing the game you can undo cards if you are unsure about a move. Click the undo button at the bottom right of the screen, then try another move. You win if you complete each round and turn the entire jewel board to gold. Avoid running out of layout and foundation cards during the game. Once you run out of cards before completing your matches, the round ends, and you are forced to start over. It is a good idea to try to remove face up cards that are covering face down cards. This provides you with more card options. You will earn fifty points for each square you turn to gold and one hundred points for each remaining swap after completing the jewel board puzzle. You can replay any level that you have already completed to improve your score.

This game adds new rules to the standard game of solitaire. It draws the audience in more with its various card layouts, colors, and jewels. It does still require you to use strategic methods in order to win, but it is not as bland. It is not the same card game as it was before. This game also holds a story line, which encourages people to play. It has created a more interesting a fun way to play the game of solitaire. Game makers may believe that standard card games need to be transformed into more interactive games in order to keep them interesting. As time goes on, more adjustments are being made to games to make them more appealing to people. Jewel Quest Solitaire is among these.

“Cat in a platform game?? Not so simple! Each level has a new challenge: no more jumping, harsh time limits, and more. If you are brave, and have fast fingers, Accept the Challenge. Can you and your game cat can conquer the everything?”
Challenge Accepted is a simple, yet strategic game. The purpose of the game is clear but this is a game that requires patience and thinking. In Challenge Accepted you must beat each level and move onto the next level until you can complete the game. To play the game, use the left and right arrows to move the cat left and right. Use the up arrow to make him jump. The game begins with the cat on one side of the screen and you have to get him to the other side of the screen, but there are obstacles in the way. There are blocks that need to be jumped over and spikes that need to be avoided. If you land on a spike they will make you start that stage over. In addition to jumping and dodging, the cat also needs to land on a platform in order to open the door to the other side. The game is simple at first, but as you progress it becomes more complicated. You began to get timed on the stages and the obstacles are harder to overcome.

This game influences you to be patient and problem solve. You know the purpose of the game, to beat the level, but you must think about the best tactic to use to get you to the finish. Also you need to have patient because though the directions are simple, the steps you take to beat the level are not. The game encourages patience because things do not happen as you would like them to. You might be close to the finish and then make a mistake and have to start over, so patience is key.
I personally found the game interesting and fun. My best friend and I were racing each other to see who could finish each level the fastest but we both got stuck on level five. Neither one of us could make the cat move left. I’m not sure if it was a problem with the game or if this occurred on purpose but neither one of us was able to pass it. Nonetheless, the game was still entertaining. It was a change from the super active games that are normally played.
There is not much color to the game, I wouldn’t call it dull but it was definitely not lively. The cat was black and the background of every stage was a different color, red, green, purple, and blue.
No, Challenge Accepted is not the most entertaining game out there, but it does hold values for those who choose to play the game.
